We think recruitment was priced wrong, so we repriced it.
The industry standard is a percentage of the new person's first-year salary — commonly 15–25%, which is £6,000 to £10,000 on a £40,000 hire. Hire someone better paid and the identical piece of work costs you more. We could not defend that, so we stopped doing it.
What we changed
We price the work instead of the salary. A flat fee, agreed before anything starts, that does not move when the salary does — from £399 +VAT to advertise a role yourself, up to a fully managed search from £1,500 +VAT set by band.
The managed search carries a guarantee most of the industry will not offer: if the role is not filled, you get every penny back.
Why it matters if you work here
You are not selling the same thing as the agency down the road at a slightly better price. You are selling a different shape of deal, to employers who have usually just been quoted a percentage and did not enjoy it.
That is a far easier conversation to have, and it is the reason the leads come to us rather than the other way round.
Cameron Clarke Associates Ltd, trading as Talent Finder.
If you have seen our adverts you will know us as Talent Finder. The company behind that name is Cameron Clarke Associates Ltd, and it is the company you would be employed or contracted by — which is why these vacancies sit under it rather than under a client's name.
